Ghana, you just levelled up and the smile on my face right now is gigantic. Eternally happy for being able to participate at the very first Yoga session of the Accra Shala Yoga re-vival.
Susan soft-launched Shala today with her Revitalising Vinyasa Flow. We did a combination of Breathing, Vinyasa and ended with a Headstand practice. Can you believe it? I did it. I did it without touching the wall. (pictures below) Big feeling of accomplishment and confidence boost 🙂
The spacious place is in need of some love and new paint. But the energy is still there, you can feel it so strongly. Accra Shala Yoga – we are coming back.

1. Authentic Yoga Practice
Nieves is peace and happiness. You feel it. She infuse perfectly Pranayama (breathing) with Asana (postures). Nieves is continuously traveling for new knowledge, developing herself and her students. She combines her knowledge of Yoga with her experience being a nurse.
My first practice with her, I was afraid. Yes. I felt my body was too weak to practice with Nieves. But oh was I wrong. Nieves guided me softly to become strong again. When Nieves says “You can do it”. You do it.

We’re on the same street. I’ve got a 10 min walk to Yoga practice – can it get any better than that? The Shala is easy to access, located just behind African Regent Hotel on North Airport Road, Airport Residential.

Accra Shala Yoga is spacious and bright. From the Shala you have views toward the Villagio towers. And the energy that fills the room is undeniable.

Practice of physical yoga (asana) flexibility & opening , go to a more advanced level of intensity suitable for everyone.
